Conspiracy Theory: Does A Body Good
The Cult of Religion

The staff has finally branched out. We've added a new contributing writer to our overflowing ranks. This sterling gentleman approached us out of the blue with a huge story, one he has worked on for weeks and researched exhaustively. We welcome P E S H 85 to our happy Conspiracy Theory family, and God Bless. Well, in this story, maybe that stamtement is less of a blessing and more of a curse...

1. P E S H 85 SPEAKS........
Wow, quick note. I am not a member of the staff. I am a guest writer. My opinions are my own and no one else's. In this article at no point am I trying to put down any certain religion. I am simply trying to state observations I've made. If in anyway you are offended by this article, please don't be. Coming from a Christian background, I will only speak about Christianity and nothing else.

Religion; history in Europe was changed by it, wars were fought, men women and children were killed and kings persevered. It is a very sensitive subject to many. I write this paper not to force my opinions on you, but to state my opinion on why organized Christianity's a conspiracy. To educate all you on my views and my upbringing, I am a Deist. Deism is the loosest form of Christianity there is, we believe in a god we believe that if you are good you go to heaven and if you are a bad person you go to hell. Thats it, no church no prayer no nothing we just chill. My mother is catholic and my father is Methodist so I live with the two extremes of Christianity. I question religion on a regular basis and ask you to do it too. Question God as a thing and consider him as a state of mind, go against every dogma of organized religion and consider it a farce. Sure it's given us some great music and architecture but if you break it down organized religion is just a tool to control the masses. Case in point Leviticus and Deuteronomy in the bible; it's rules for living. In the two books it talks about not having sex with your sister or goats, don't eat meat or food after the third day it's been prepared, and to be nice to visitors. These rules if looked at today are no-brainers to us and we don't give them a second glance but in society 3000 years ago people didn't think about these things and would get sick and die, therefore to keep people from dying we have those rules. Example number two, the Anglican church, Henry the 8th wanted a divorce but the Pope wouldn't annul his marriage so he made up his own religion thus changing England's history and making it very bloody for the next couple hundred years. Number 3 Louis XIV of France he didn't want anyone challenging his authority so he stressed "divine right" Basically "Divine right" states that kings are selected by god and they are the only ones fit to rule. There are more examples and I will write them as they come to me but for now thats all you get. Rather than looking up to some invisible Father figure in the sky we must look inside ourselves and decide the big issues on our own. Even if there is a God up in the sky do you honestly think he cares where we worship him or if we participate in some pseudo-cannibalistic ritual of downing booze and stuffing our faces with crackers? No

2. PEOPLE WITHOUT RELIGION ARE DANGEROUS
Recently, a member of the Conspiracy Theory staff overheard an everyday citizen of the United States voice this very tiny, yet signifcantly apalling, statement.  "People withouth religion are very dangerous."  Needless to say, our poor staff member nearly coughed up his skull, lungs, and spinal column onto the stylishly stained carpeting.  How could an educated, everyday, full-grown adult member of American society even think this? Let's check the Atrocity Scoreboard (kept by Arthur Anderson Accounting) for the current score of the game Religion vs. No Religion.  In the past thousand years alone, religion has been directly responsible for a half dozen crusades, the spread of the Bubonic Plague, several brutal Inquisitions, wars all across the European continent,  persecution of women and africans, massacres of Native American tribes, the Holocaust, the brutal murder of Atheist Madeling Murray O'Hare and her family, and most recently, the September 11th massacre.  No Religion has not been directly involved in any massacres, inquisitions, crusades, or other dirty, dirty, death quests.  The truth his, those with a religion, with solid beliefs in an insubstantial power, are more likely to commit brutal acts in the name of that power simply because they have to take someone else's word for it when it comes to the wishes of that power.  However, the reverse argument can be made that those with no religion never do anything at all.  In some cases, this is true.  Many of the greatest heroes of all time, like the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Thomas Jefferson, and others have had firm and unwarvering religious convictions.  Then, you have to look at the greatest villains, like Hitler, Bin Laden, Qadafi, and the dozens of others who have had the strongest of religious convictions.  The truth is, every human being is just as dangerous as every other human being, god or no god.

BOO!
